This is a comparasion of monk armor later in game.

Santum Cay Crafter. (Just outside)

Ascentic's Foot 11 parchment 3 feathers cost 600 armor 57
Chest 33 9
Arm 11 3
Legs 22 6

Total 77 parchment 21 feathers cost 2400 armor 57

Draknors Forge

Ascetic's Foot 25 parchment 4 feathers Cost 800 Armor 60
chest 75 12
Arm 25 4

Total 175 parchment 28 feathers Cost 3200 Armor 60

Why would anyone spend all that money and material on armor in draknors forge for armor vs. the armor in santum cay???

Santum Cay is before desert the armor is almost as good.

The 3 armor bonus adds up, and this +3 is just for monks. Warriors probably get more.

You will also be using this armor for the rest of the game, and there isn't much else to spend the money on (besides 15k but since you don't even like 1.5k...) and the armor isn't that expensive.
